PAPER - CORRUGATED ADDITIVES

SEYCO AIRLOCK -A blend of polymers designed to eliminate the use of carrier starches by reacting with the pearl starch in the cooked portion of the adhesive. It makes starch preparation easier, reduces warp, makes stronger bonds, and improves speed. Typical usage ranges from 10-20 pounds per 300 gallon starch batch.

SEYCO SPEED-A unique blend of polymers designed as an aditive to the pearl starch. It improves the bond and increases the speed of the corrugator. It has zero formaldehyde levels and is economical to use. Typical usage is 40 pounds per 300 gallon batch.

SEYCO SEAL-Same attributes as Seyco Speed with the addition of moisture resistance in the board.

SEYCO REZ KF-Offers the ultimate in water resistance to corrugating adhesives. A 3-5% resin addition to the starch is recommended.

PAPER - COATING

SEYCOFILM PVA-25 is a viscous liquid used for paper, textiles, warp sizing, spun and filament, adhesive applications, etc.

SEYCOFILM WR-225 is a water dispersible polyester resin with enhanced non-polar character. This non-polar character is oriented during drying away from cellulosic substrates to give hydrophobic character to the surface. This hydrophobic character is evident by the very large contact angle water has with the surface. The water beads up as though it were on a waxed surface. This phenomenon occurs with very low add-ons compared to other types of hydrophobic resins used to impart water resistance.

SEYCOTE MC-40 is an aqueous polymer blend formulated to provide a flexible, printable, and glueable coating. Seycote MC-40 imparts a water resistant film resulting in excellent Cobb and water hold out values. Also provides excellent grease (oil) barrier with a continuous film.

SEYCOTE HPX has similar characteristics to Seycote MC-40 but with a greater oil/water contact angle, thus providing improved oil resistance. Some application examples include bags, polypropylene replacement, polyethylene replacement, corrugated boxes, and kraft paper. Seycote HPX and Seycote MC-40 coatings have been designed to be repulpable and recycleable in accordance with the voluntary standard documented by FBA Protocol.

Seycote PR is designed to replace petroleum based impregnating waxes to be used in paper food packaging. Seycote PR resists and repels water with the same efficiency as currently utilized paraffinic impregnating waxes. It is extremely useful in applications where the spent packaging is to be repulped or recycled. Seycote PR has FDA and CFIA direct food contact approval.
